How is the public transportation in Los Angeles?

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

I am a student who is planning to move to Los Angeles, but still I have no car. One of my school is located in Westwood, and another set in Sherman Oaks. We also intend to work part time at a restaurant somewhere in Hollywood, Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. Where should I choose to rent an apartment? It’s OK to move on public transport? If so, what will it take to get from Hollywood to Sherman Oaks? Thank you all.
